"House Bethesda Orphanage (HBO KIDS Thailand) is established to provide hill tribe children from the remote regions of northern Thailand with a safe, healthy, and nurturing home environment, as well as access to a comprehensive education."
The Kids at House Bethesda
"There are currently 30 children living at House Bethesda, ranging in age from 7 to 18. Additionally, four children reside in Chiang Rai city, where they attend university and college. Most of the children are from the Akha or Lahu hill tribes, which are native to the Mekong region of northern Thailand, China's Yunnan province, Myanmar, and Laos."
Scope of Needs at House Bethesda
"The children housed at the orphanage come from challenging family situations. In this remote region of Southeast Asia, populations face a scarcity of natural resources and educational systems, making it difficult to sustain many hill tribe communities in the modern world. With some parents in this region and community unable to care for their children, either physically or financially, House Bethesda ensures that these hill tribe kids can lead happy, healthy, and productive lives. We believe that no child should be left behind."
